First impressions matter - but don’t forget the second and third.

Do you ever notice how the first episode of a TV show you're not fully sold yet? You're figuring out the characters, who they are, if you even like them. You're evaluating.

But by episode five or six, something shifts. Now you're texting your friends about it. You've got opinions on who should end up together. You're annoyed when the episode ends on a cliffhanger.

You're invested.

Nothing about the show fundamentally changed. What changed is you. You spent enough time with these characters that they stopped being strangers on a screen and started feeling like people you know.

That's the result of familiarity built through repetition, and that's exactly how content works.

Your audience isn't going to feel connected to you after one video or one post. One piece of content is episode one. They're still deciding if they like you. Connection isn't a single moment, it's a pattern built over time, by consistently showing up, week after week, post after post.

The more they see you, the more they trust you. The more they trust you, the more they start to feel like they actually know you. Your voice, your values, what you stand for, how you handle things.

And here's why that matters: when it's time to make a decision - who to hire, who to buy from or who to vote for - people don't choose a stranger. They choose the person they feel like they already know.

So don't think of your content as a one-off. Think of it as a series. Every post, every video is another episode building the story of who you are.

Be that main character. Make your viewers invest in you.
